Forty eight years on Campbell Avenue
Bestway has been rewinding and rebuilding motors in Tucson since 1978, under president Ray Kothe. The work goes out to mining, manufacturing, municipalities, utilities, commercial operators and military installations, and it comes back through the same door if it is not right.

A plant manager with a burned motor on a pallet is not shopping for adjectives. He needs to know the crane will pick it up, the oven will take it, and the stand can run it at voltage afterwards. These are the four figures Bestway publishes about its own floor.

What comes through the door
Motors and pumps in for teardown, technicians out to the plant, and a shop behind both of them big enough to take whatever the crane can lift.
Bay one
AC and DC, single source, to 15 tons. Stripped, rewound, rebuilt and test run at no load to 4160 volts with bearing temperatures and balance readings written down. Surge, hipot, ground and insulation resistance testing in house.

Well pumps and booster pumps rebuilt, machined and reinstalled, with laser alignment and vibration analysis so the repair holds. Twenty four hour emergency response for industrial and mining customers across Arizona.
How a pump comes apart
On site
When the motor cannot leave the plant, the shop goes to it. Flatbed and boom trucks, lift and booster stations, field balancing, laser alignment, thermal imaging with a written report, and VFD work on the direct line at (520) 402-3097.

Ten thousand square feet in production since October 2015. A drive-through bay, a fifteen tonne crane, a bake oven and a burnout oven sized for what the crane can lift, and an isolated testing area on a six by twelve foot bedplate.

A line down at two in the morning is still a Tucson phone call.
Emergency service runs around the clock for motor and pump work, in the shop and in the field. The counter is open mon-fri 7am-4pm, and the Phoenix office line is answered separately.
When it cannot leave the plant
A booster station does not come to Campbell Avenue. Bestway runs flatbed and boom trucks out to lift and booster stations, does the vibration analysis and the field balancing where the machine stands, aligns it with a laser, images it, and writes the report before leaving. Technicians are MSHA certified and trained for confined space entry, because a good part of this work happens below a hatch.
