Chapter 01
When the motor cannot leave the site
A motor bolted into a lift station or a pump set below grade in a wet well isn't coming to Tucson, so Bestway sends the truck instead. Flatbed and boom trucks carry what the job needs to a municipal site, a mine, a utility yard or a military installation, and the crew that shows up does the same troubleshooting, predictive maintenance and repair work the bench gets, just standing on the customer's concrete instead of Bestway's.
A good share of that work happens through a hatch rather than in the open, which is why the technicians going out are confined space entry trained, not just motor and pump technicians who happen to be on site that day. They're also MSHA certified, with over four decades of combined experience behind them, which matters on a mine site where that certification is the price of getting through the gate at all.

Lift and booster stations: maintenance, repair and retrofit
Lift and booster stations run unattended most of the time, so the failures that show up are the ones nobody caught early: a worn bearing that's been running hot for weeks, a seal that's finally let go, a motor that's been single phasing since a fuse blew and nobody noticed the amperage climb on the other two legs. Bestway does the maintenance that's supposed to catch it first, then the repair when it doesn't, and the retrofit when the station itself needs updating rather than just the motor inside it.
Retrofit work is where field service and the Campbell Avenue shop meet in the middle: a pump or motor pulled from a station in the field can go back to Tucson for machining or rewinding, then return to the same site for reinstallation, rather than being replaced outright because nobody had a path to rebuild it in place.
Chapter 03
VFD installation, programming, troubleshooting and repair
Variable frequency drives fail in ways a straight motor doesn't, from a bad parameter setting that trips the drive under normal load to a genuinely dead power module, and diagnosing which one it is from the field is a different skill from rewinding a stator. Bestway installs and programs VFDs, and troubleshoots and repairs the ones already in service, with a direct line for that work at (520) 402-3097 rather than routing it through the general shop number.
Controls and electrical troubleshooting and repair sit alongside the VFD work for the same reason: a drive that's tripping isn't always the drive's fault, and a technician who can read the wiring and the control logic around it finds the actual cause instead of swapping parts until something sticks.
Predictive and preventative work: analysis before failure
Field vibration analysis and field balancing catch a bearing or an alignment problem while it's still a maintenance item, not yet a failure, and Bestway runs both on site rather than requiring the equipment to be pulled first. Laser alignment done in the field holds a pump and motor to the same tolerance the bench work gets, which is what keeps a field repair from becoming a repeat call.
Thermal imaging and reporting round out the predictive side: an infrared pass finds the hot connection or the unevenly loaded phase before it smokes, and it comes with a written report rather than a verbal note, so the plant has a record to act on and to compare against the next pass.
